Le conteneur domine le secteur du transport de marchandise depuis maintenant une cinquantaine d’années.
Ce choix a été fait initialement pour des raisons économiques mais avec un impact écologique important, comme pour le fret aérien.
- IMPACT : la masse des conteneurs (3 tonnes chacun) représente plus de 20% de ce qui est transporté sur un porte conteneur vs. 2% en équivalent palettes (25kg chacune). Le transport en format palette permet de ne transporter uniquement la marchandise sans surpoids. Ne pas utiliser de conteneur fait économiser 200 kg / palette. Autant d’émissions de CO2 évitables.
- STANDARD : nous transportons pour vous votre marchandise comme elle a été préparé dans votre entrepôt au format EU ou US
- AGILE : Vous ne payez que pour la marchandise que vous nous confiez, sans frais de consolidation pour gérer les conteneurs vides
- OPTIMISE : le format palette permet d’optimiser le remplissage de voiliers-cargos pour ainsi mutualiser et de transporter plus de marchandise qu’avec des conteneurs
Nous utilisons des techniques de routage météo très pointues pour définir la trajectoire optimale à chaque traversée. Ceci nous permet d’éviter les zones sans vent et zones où le vent est trop fort.
Ces voiliers-cargos innovants couplés à ce routage nous permettent d’être plus rapide que les porte conteneurs classiques (dé.chargement compris) sur la route Caen-New Haven
Cela dépend des types de produits et du plan de palettisation.
Nous sommes jusqu’à 5 fois moins cher que l’aérien. Cela dépend du taux de fret.
Par exemple, pour une bouteille de spiritueux moyenne gamme, le surcoût représente quelques dizaines de centimes, en comparaison avec le fret maritime conventionnel
